Santa Fe

This outfit was loosely inspired by one of my favorite songs/ albums Beirut's The Rip Tide, I felt carried away by the beautiful scenery and the red stone surrounding the bright blue beaches of the coast.. Sadly, I am back in the snow belt now, but wanted to share what I wore on our last day out & about! I paired one of my favorite tanks with some lace chiffon shorts and a shredded chiffon blazer from Indulgera.com.

I liked the breezy fabric and effortless layering and wanted to amp it up a notch with my new BCBG spiked kitten heel slingbacks.. they have sort of a Louboutin vibe right? They are a new favorite. They look totally rocker chic paired with this amazing cream blazer.. Even though the slashes of fabric are in the back, they totally pulled the whole outfit together. Along with my new ray ban Lennon glasses, I was totally transporting myself to the West coast.. and now, sadly, back.

I hope you all have a fabulous thursday, today is the start of Paris Fashion Week.. my favorite time(s) of the year..whose show are you looking forward to?

Day in Paradise

A true look from Paradise today.. this beautiful dress from Akira Chicago reminded me of a beachy sunrise and I couldn't wait to wear it for an evening out on the boardwalk. I decided to keep it relatively simple and pair it with some white heels, little gold accessories, my white flower crown, and my Miu Miu sunnies!

I just absolutely loved the cutout flower detailing at the waist and the painted like detail of the purple to yellow ombre.. which I would never have thought of because of the colors complimentary status.. but it just works, and looks so pretty! It's a true showstopper !

Candy Coated

So I've been on vacation at the Perdido Beach Resort kind of on the border of Florida and Alabama.. it's so beautiful and secluded I'm definitely going to have trouble leaving this place. Totally taking advantage of the warm weather and beachy air with some tropical colors and light layers. I wore my inlovewithfashion lace crop top with my favorite cutoffs and my light yellow Theory blazer. Threw on some casual care-free sandals and my Toms sunnies, and I was definitely ready to go.

I don't like to be too fussy on vacation, and the mid 60's perfect temperature allows you to pretty much wear whatever you like.. which is awesome. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, and I have some more lovely beach photos coming for you soon!!!

La Petite Parisienne

I absolutely have been feeling my Parisian influence lately because I have been avidly planning my trip.. soon it will be time to search for apartments, pick out my classes, get my visa, and daydream !!! (hehe). This was an outfit I can see myself wearing prancing around those cobblestone streets (OK, so I am already daydreaming.)

I am so in love with this lovely side-split maxi skirt. I have been searching for one forever, and this one is just perfect and only 14.99... seriously! The taupe color matches with everything, it is SO comfortable, and it easily transforms a lazy day outfit into something super chic and comfortable.

I paired my skirt with polka dot tights and some little lace shorts underneath, to avoid any accidental exposure due to the wind today.. but I also adored the little romantic touch of layering they added. On top is my signature striped top and giant scarf and little red hat. I chose to wear my favorite flat boots to keep comfort at a maximum.

Oh! And I just got these super cute Toms sunnies for my birthday (an early gift!) Loving the clear plastic and the gold metal together! I will be leaving for vacation tomorrow so I figured they were justifiable... I can't wait to be at the beach and take some lovely outfit photos for you all!  LOVE YA ALL (: !

All Mixed Up

This whole wintertime I've wanted one of these Army Green jackets with the big cozy furry hood.. but I could never find one that I really liked, until now. I just received this adorable cropped version from Sheinside and I am totally infatuated with the Giant Hood. Since Ohio weather is so up and down (62 the day before, 36 when I took these photos) I figured I should give it a go before Spring starts. I paired it with some fun patterns like my Sepia Floral print dress from Madewell and some simple white lace tights.

I accessorized with my army green studded cap and my new white sandals with gold buckles.. I told you all I was obsessed with these babies. Overall, a pretty simple outfit but I love the complexity that the patterns and textures bring (: I hope you all have a fabulous monday! Only 4 more days until my Spring break and I'll be heading to the Alabama coast for some much needed beach relaxation. Yay!

Pastel

Still feelin' lace these past couple of days. This time I took a very deliberate spring palette into account, instead of my typical black and white. I paired this lovely pale pink lace circle skirt from Inlovewithfashion with a cute graphic "Beautiful, Young, & Free"top from Papaya Clothing. This would be an absolutely lovely summer ensemble without a jacket, however, it was still jacket weather today so I added a white studded bikey and some cute white accessories. I just got these amazing white sandals the other day.. can you believe they are from Target??! I know, I'm obsessed.

Overall these colors and this outfit make me ready for spring, yet my forecast says snow tomorrow..can you believe it. SO over this snow, peace out!

Lacey Days

\

I have this problem that whenever I see a pretty lace dress, I have to have it. Perhaps it is the inner little girl in me, but I just absolutely love lace. This black&white lace dress from Sheinside is absolutely the perfect lace dress. I love when a dress kind of just feels effortless and funky at the same time.. I use effortless a lot to describe clothing, it is the key to a good wardrobe. If it doesn't feel like you are fussing over your outfit, you won't look like you fussed over it. Not to mention, I love the 60's vibe. I was nervous when I ordered it because it seemed on the short side.. but overall, not too bad!

I decided to treat you all with an update two days in a row (: I have so many new outfits to show off I just couldn't wait to post this one as it is one of my favorites. I stopped in an atrium downtown to take some photos, and it was my first time using a little flash photography. Normally, that is an absolute NO-NO for my photos, but I figured I would give it a go !

Hope you all have a fabulous Wednesday, only two more days until Friday and a new entry from me! Lace is my way of updating my spring wardrobe? How do you all plan to do it? Let me know in the comments!

City Livin', West Coast Dreamin// Quiksilver Collaboration

So I am living vicariously through my amazing pieces that I just got from the new Quiksilver spring line. I may live in the city, but I'm definitely transported to coastal california in this amazing high-low maxi with gorgeous floral print.

The deep royal blue and stark white scream for the beach and a cool drink in hand. With the beautiful warm Spring weather today, I took it out for a spin with my wooden platforms and favorite summer hat and some quirky accessories. I am not even kidding you when I say that you can feel the quality and love put into this dress.. it's amazing. It is definitely going to be a summer staple this year.

Are you all still into the maxi length this season? I actually prefer it over short dresses. It's so comfortable and carefree.. dress it up or down..casual & pretty at the same time.
